The employed women are unhappy with the new bill on benefits for the pregnant, as it is calculated considering 40 % of the monthly payment, if the working service length is less than a year , 60 % if it is 1-3 years and 80 %, in case it is over 3 years.
Artem Asatryan, the Social Welfare minister, answered the questions of MPs at the National Assembly noting that for the recent years the expenses in this sphere have tripled, the means are used not reasonably.
The minister publicized data according to which the benefits will be up to AMD 12 billion instead of the 8,5 billions designated for 2014. This fact is explained by the Minister with the condition of some unemployed women managing to be hired just months before giving birth and receiving money from the state budget.
