The Armenian governmental delegation, headed by PM Hovik Abrahamyan, was in Iran for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Eshaq Jahangiri, first vice president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In Tehran, the head of the Armenian government had meetings with Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, his first vice president Eshaq Jahangiri, Majles Chairman Ali Larijani.
During the visit it was emphasized again that the Armenian-Iranian relations are truly open and really friendly.
There are certain problems on the level of economic cooperation, they are mainly due to the economic sanctions against Iran, which bring significant obstacles for the realization of ambitious plans. But the time changes. So do the realities.
The PM’s visit to Iran aimed at speeding up the process as much as it is possible.
