In the run-up to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide commemoration Yerevan City Hall improves the Yerevan monuments erected in memory of the Genocide victims, but declined with the time as a result of being abandoned. The vice-mayor today familiarized himself with the work done, urged the constructors to end it by mid-November.
It is planned to renovate and bring the decent looks back to all the respective monuments. The first deputy Mayor personally supervises that work done and yet to be done.
Besides the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial, in Yerevan, there are four more monuments dedicated to the Armenian Genocide. Three of them were built during 1965-1975.
