Starting from 2009, when the Church Representative Synod adopted the diocese guidance order for the Armenian apostolic church, the process of developing a common order for the Armenian church became more active. It was actually started in the last years of Vazgen I rule.
Assessing the long process of order developing bishop Vahram Meliqyan, communications director at the Holy See touched upon the role of the finalized orders for our church life, speaking to media.
He disclaimed the rumors about the Jerusalem and Istanbul patriarchates to be downgraded to the level of the diocese bodies. He says that behind these rumors are the apostate clergymen.
