A discussion titled “Our Ways of Solving Social and Economic Problems of the Aremenians Of Javakhk ” was held. The Head of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia, Chairman of the “Supporting Javakhk” Foundation and Georgia’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Armenia spoke about the problems of the Armenians of Javakhk. The donation by “Supporting Javakhk” Foundation will be allocated for the solution of the following problems – social issues, rising of the educational level, activation of the cultural life in rural areas
Archbishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Head of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia states that they expect the Georgian Ministry of Education to allow teaching the History of the Armenian People, even if optionally, at the Armenian schools of Javakhk, as extra-classes.
Termiz Sharmanashvili, Georgia’s Ambassador to Armenia says there can’t be unsolvable issues on the level of Armenian – Georgian relations. The Georgian authorities do their best for the well-being of the Armenians of Javakhk, he says. The discussion of interest was followed by the concert-soiree.
