The drills started on October 13, are the largest in Caucasus, both in terms of the servicemen involved, and the amount of the military equipment and special transportation used.
The main aim of the drills is to check all the components of military readiness of the military units deployed in Armenia.
3.000 servicemen and 500 units of military and special transportation are involved in the drills.
It is expected that during the tactical drills the servicemen will pass around 1000 kilometers of territory, over 30.000 artillery and 300.000 machine-gun shots will be carried out.
The wide-scale drills due to be concluded on October 19.
