The annual meeting of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund was held in Washington, October 10-12, participated in by the Government delegation headed by PM Hovik Abrahamyan. The Economics Minister presented the results of the visit to the media.
Major international organizations cooperate with Armenia over 20 years. During the long collaboration the World Bank supported the Armenian economy with around 2 billion USD for more than 100 projects.
The Economics Minister Karen Chshmarityan says that the Republic of Armenia has always been a punctual and implementing country. There is a hope for broader cooperation in the future.
The 2014-2017 strategic plan has 13 programs for Armenia with 711 million USD to be provided to Armenia by the World Bank. The competitiveness promotion, creation of jobs, trade encouragement will be on agenda.
