US Congressman Adam Schiff has been to Baku recently to participate in a Helsinki Committee session. He met the Armenian community of LA to present the issues voiced by him in Azerbaijan. They had been mostly on the peaceful regulation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
He was also vocal on the hardships of the Armenian communities in Syria and Iraq, the events in the run-up to the Armenian Genocide 100th Anniversary.He touched upon the question raised by media on whether it was right or wrong by US President Obama to bomb ISIS to further prevent them. Re-the Centenary events, there will be lots of them, the Congressman said.
He is going to participate in the Genocide rally across the US. Another event is the exhibition of the carpet made by the Armenian orphans during the Genocide period, which was presented to the White House, and was kept undisplayed.
