The oldest university still there in Armenia celebrates a jubilee. The Gevorgyan Seminary is 140 now.
A gala-event was held on the occasion at the Seminary Events’ Hall, under the chairmanship of Garegin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.
In 2001-2002 the Gevorgyan Seminary was bestowed a theology university status by the Government. Academicians and clergymen from Russian and oriental churches and both Russian and Armenian universities were present at the event.
