The delegation headed by the Armenian PM continues its visit in the US. Hovik Abrahamyan discussed the strengthening of the Armenian – American relations, issues concerning the development of economic ties and regional problems with the Armenian Assembly of America. The PM thanked the Assembly for pro-Armenian activity. The Armenian delegation participated in the official reception of the Armenian Embassy to the US on occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day.
The reception was delayed from September 21st for the arrival of high-ranking guests from Yerevan. After the anthems of the two countries were presented the PM said much was done during 23 years of independence. A modern state has been built over the ruins of the devastating earthquake and liberation war. The state is quite strong to defend itself and resolve the current problems.
In his speech the head of the executive body spoke about the issues of protecting the rights of the investors, the programs for village support. The Armenian diaspora was touched upon separately.
