Tomislav Nikolic, the President of the Republic of Serbia arrived in the Republic of Armenia, with the invitation by the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. The official reception ceremony of Serbia’s President was held at the Presidential Palace. Bilateral format meeting followed.
Greeting the high-ranking guest President Sargsyan stressed that the friendly relations between Serbians and Armenians has deep roots and background. This history has been marked by many expressions of mutual friendship. The latter is a good basis for deepening and strengthening today’s inter-state relations. Serzh Sargsyan expressed his hopefulness that the visit of the Serbian President will newly boost the Armenian-Serbian political dialogue and promoting of the bilateral cooperation agenda.
Tomislav Nikolic thanked Serzh Sargsyan for warm reception and said the development of relations between Armenia and Serbia was important for him, after being elected the President of Serbia. Presidnet Nikolic assesses mutual relations are not on the proper level. The Serbian President assured his country would invest their utmost efforts for closer interstate ties and deeper cooperation between Armenia and Serbia. Resuming the meeting Serzh Sargsyan awarded the Serbian President with the Medal of Glory.
