On October 8, there will be a great surprise for Armenian art-loving community. World-known Russian piano player Alexei Lubimov is to have a concert in Yerevan, he is considered one of the most unique and racy music performers. The concert is held in the framework of 15th Yerevan Perspectives International Music Festival, under the high patronage of the RA President. Lubimov will also perform pieces by Komitas.
Today he talked to the journalists, and again, expressed his fascination for Armenia, Armenian hospitality, and Armenian audience.
Lubimov says the audience prefers what they already know, the same famous pieces of music, but they are always happier to leave the concert hall when the expectations are exceeded.
The laureate of the top international competitions will perform for his Armenian audience both the well-known and less acclaimed but still interesting pieces.
