The Malaysian Airlines’ Boeing 777 search missing since March 8 is resumed. The new stage of search started in the southern part of Indian Ocean, some 1800 miles west of the Australian shore.
5 ships arrived in the search area. First of them, GO Phoenix, has already started working.
The ship is equipped with cameras, sonar device known as a towfish and jet engine fuel tracker, which will help to recover the debris.
Two other ships by the Netherlands will join the mission in late October.
Flight 370 disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8 with 239 passengers, 12 crew on board. An hour after the flight the jet disappeared from the radar displays. Later it was found out the jet changed its schedule and headed to Indian Ocean.
