Representatives of the libraries from abroad exchanged ideas with their Armenian colleagues on how to develop a digital library with just one address to include old publications of the Armenian literature and press. It was at the Library of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin. During the conference a MoU was signed between the Holy See and the National Library of Armenia. This will enable the parties to realize digitalization of printed Armenian heritage and documents, projects of creating digital library, etc..
In the run-up to the centenary of the Armenian Genocide they discussed the mobilization and digitalization of the old-printed literature and press from all over the world. For making the Armenian printings available for all it was offered to digitally bring it together within a single “territory.”
Some of the libraries have already started donating. Many of them will decide on the formats of their participation in this project beneficial to all Armenians.
