Another bridge of friendship with France connecting it to Artsakh (NKR). Shushi, NKR, is now a twin-city to Bourg-Led-Valence in terms of agreement. Welcoming the consistent steps by Artsakh people and authorities towards creating and developing free and democratic society the parties decided to develop friendly ties. The twin-cities will cooperate in the fields of education, culture, sports, trade, and local government.
The French delegation had official meetings with high-ranking statesmen in Artsakh. They discussed the NKR Issue with Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan. The Artsakh President also received the delegation and presented the issues related to the foreign and domestic policies.
Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan considers the signing of the friendship declaration between Bourg-Les-Valence and Shushi one of the bases of ties between France and Artsakh. The delegation was happy to accept the President’s offer to participate in the big festival of French, next year, in Stepanakert.
