A school in Sardarapat now has a classroom named after Armin Wegner. In this school the education is implemented with Germany’s governmental programs. Many photos by Wegner from the times of the Armenian Genocide are presented here. These photos are the undeniable testimonies for the Genocide.
Armin Wegner was a witness of the Armenian Genocide. He documented it with his camera and all his life he was supportive for the Armenian Question, urging the world to recognize the Genocide.
Anahit Manoukyan, principle of the Sardarapat School says Wegner was an advocate for the Armenian Question. He visited Soviet Armenia twice, called, along with the Lepsius to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide. He urged the Turkish people to bow before the Armenian people for the crime by their ancestors.
The life and activity of the great humanist are well studied at this Sardarapat school operating on the German programs.
Wegner loved the Armenian and the Armenians so much, that he taught his own children to read and write in Armenian. And now, in a school, where they read and write in the mother tongue of Wegner, there is an auditorium named after him. Here you can find all the books and photos the great friend of the Armenians used to collect and handed in hoping for the rightful victory.
