Armenia’s Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandyan was on a one-day working visit to the Republic of Serbia. In Belgrade, he had meetings with the spiritual and secular leaders of the country.
They all started with a meeting with the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Patriarch Ireney says the centennial friendship between the Armenian and the Serbian peoples is an excellent basis for developing the cooperation between the countries. The Serbia’s President Tomislav Nikolic received Eduard Nalbandyan.
The President of Serbia said the Serbian and Armenian peoples had common historical ties of friendship, and Belgrade works on strengthening the Armenian-Serbian relations.
Minister Nalbandyan passed the regards by Serzh Sargsyan, and said he was sure the upcoming visit of the Serbian leader to Armenia will serve a good incentive for deepening the cooperation between the two countries.
