The acclaimed First Border Department of the Border Guard of the Armenian National Security Service was officially awarded the Militay Flag. Prior to handing the flag it was anointed by Archbishop Sepuh Chulshyan, Head of the Gugark Diocese.
Then Arzuman Harutyunyan, lieutenant general, the deputy head of the Service read the diploma by the head of the state Serzh Sargsyan on awarding the flag to the unit.
Congratulating the staff of the unit lieutenant general Arzuman Harutyunyn mentioned that the border safety is the key component for our country's independence and territorial integrity, as well as for the security of the state and its people, having passed their way of development and having their unique place now,
Colonel Gurgen Gakstyan, the commander of the first borderline detachment of the NSS said that the awarding of the military flag will stay foever with each of the soldiers.
