The pilgrims set off to the New Varagavanq Monastery early in the morning. 11 years ago the Varaga Holy Cross Day was declared a pilgrimage day for Berd Region.
The Tavush Diocese and the “Tavush” Patriotic Union made the initiative a closely followed tradition. Each year this day the Tavush reseidents and in particular people from New Varagavanq gather in the monastery yard.
The New Varagavanq met its pilgrims with its new looks today. The semi-ruined holy place will be completely renovated by the Tavush Diocese and the benefactors.
