Armenia’s President took part in “ArmTech” Congress in NYC while on his official visit to the US. The Head of the State presented resumed data, said the high technologies provide 22-25 % growth in our country.
Currently 380 companies are exploited in Armenia with 11.000 experts. The Congress ended with signing an Armenian-American memorandum of cooperation.
In his speech Serzh Sargsyan said the quality growth of the IT in Armenia was important, Armenian organizations turn from their foreign ordering to the local bodies with research and development, which are able to offer complex solutions. Armenian IT products are acquired by the foreign organizations, and this contributes to raising Armenia’s attractiveness.
As a part of “ArmTech” Karen Tshmarityan, Armenia’s Minister of Economics signed a Partnership Memorandum with Microsoft.
The next stop for Armenia’s President was Saint Vartan Cathedral, NYC, a church-leader residence. Here he placed a wreath on the memorial of the Victims of the Armenian Genocide, then he had a meeting with the Armenian community representatives.
