At the regular session the government approved the budget for the next year. The session was paralleled with protests outside the building with staff from various fairs. Before going to agenda this issue was discussed first.
PM Hovik Abrahamyan emphasized the concerns of the small and medium enterprise representatives on the circulation tax are baseless and non-topical.
Not satisfied with the additional explanation by the Finance Minister the PM recommended not to go on checking the small and medium enterprise organizations timely or untimely, but instead have the large tax-payers in mind, as they are the targets of the government’s taxation politics.
Based on another long-awaited bill the border villages became special free economoic zones.
The State is ready to give taxation privileges to those who live under Azerbaijani fire and start businesses in border villages.
Another issue on the agenda was the marzpet (governor) appointment for Syunik Region. The Region is going to further be governed by Surik Khachatryan who had previously occupied this position for a long time.
