The Head of the State delivered an address on the occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day at the reception at the Sports and Concerts Complex. Serzh Sargsyan spoke about the meaning of this Day, the difficulties of obtaining this ultimate value, at the expense of lives, the challenges of keeping and protecting it.
The President gave a special mention for the most important achievement of the young state which is its Army, whose heroes, at the expense of their lives and their service, manage to foil the Azerbaijani provocations, real threat to the peace in the region.
The President declared in his speech: “We declared loudly that we are ready to assume responsibility for bringing to life the values and objectives we ourselves promulgated. And our people not only in words or with ballot-papers, but also in deeds and efforts, and when needed, at the expense of their life proved that they are the master of their responsibility and the values and objectives they have promulgated.”
