Town of Berd, guarding the north-eastern gate of our country now has its sacred citadel. Along the centennial churches of Tavush region, now the Saint John church is towering over.
The newly built church was anointed by the Catholicos and with the participation of President Serzh Sargsyan. A service was held there for the first time on the day of Feast of the Cross.
The Saint John church was constructed with the support by American – Armenian benefactor Hovhannes Stepanyan and his community.
