The Feast of the Cross had an original celebration at Haghartsin village school: an educational expedition was undertaken with the participation of all 30 12-grade students and their teachers. The idea of discovering the cross-stones scattered around the village was born during a class of the Armenian Church history.
The initiative was responded by the “Progress” NGO, some of the students of Ijevan senior school, and students from the Ijevan branch of the Yerevan State University.
The cross-stones discovered during the expedition were carefully erected by the students, cleaned, studied, and admired. None of the cross-stones resembles the other. They say it was not only an educational, but also a self-discovery trip.
