Last week Artsakh (NKR) made another small, but solid step towards its international recognition. The Basque Parliament adopted a resolution which recognizes the right of the people of the NKR to self-determination. And the realization of that right is considered the only basis for the regulation of the conflict.
In all the world the right of peoples for the self-determination starts to dominate over the territorial integrity principle. If in terms of the rights human is granted predominance, and he or she is competent to live their lives as wished, choose the religion they wish, express opinion which is theirs, cherish ideas, which they accept, thus, it is self evident, that the right of separately given people for self-determination is emphasized. And this should be the basic right for the community of people of the same nationality.
Next week the right to self-determination is facing a crucial challenge, after which the right of the peoples for being arbiters of their own future will make another step on its way of becoming a regularity. On September 18, Scotland is holding an independence referendum. In Stepanakert, NKR, it will be followed as if their own one.
