Jhangir Groyan made up the song “Shengal” in memory of ten thousand Yezidis massacred and starved to death in just one day. The singer of Yezidi origin from Talin, Armenia, through his singing helps making donations throughout the world to help his compatriots in Iraq who found themselves in a deadly grasp.
August, 2014 is another black page in millennial history of the Yezidi people.
On their way of setting a medieval caliphate the terrorist group ISIS slaughtered, shot or starved to death tens of thousands of Yezidis in their own motherland, in Shengal, Zakho, Kozho, etc..
