The Syrian military air force stroke the positions of the Islamist militants in Idlib province. The main target was the northern city of Nabl.
The bombing caused casualties among 7 people. Earlier the army destroyed 5 vehicles of the militants near Aleppo. It is also reported that the Syrian opposition and the ISIS militants agreed on truce in the southern neighbourhoods of Damascus and not attacking each other.
The US State Secretary John Kerry left for Cairo to discuss bilateral and regional issues with the Egyptian authorities. The basic issue for Washington today is the creation of an international alliance to fight the ISIS. The Pentagon sent a universal landing ship carrying one thousand Marinesto the Gulf. The ship will join the six other US vessels already there.
The US ally Germany has already announced it will not take part in airstrikes against ISIS, but they think of sending at least 40 paratroopers to Iraq. They will instruct the Kurdish military on how to use the German weapons in fighting the ISIS.
