Armenia’s Serzh Sargsyan was in Shirak Region on a working visit. The head of the state was present at the inauguration of the Gyumri Technologies’ Center inauguration ceremony. He was briefed on the ongoing and upcoming programs of the center, as well as on the workload realized.
The aim of a Technopark creation is to contribute to urban development, turning it into a modern technological hub of knowledge and innovative infrastructure. The program is crucial in terms of improvement of business and investment environment, encouraging small and medium enterprises, creating new jobs in Gyumri and solving its social and economical problems.
It will also contribute to the equal territorial development, raising of common competitiveness of the country and the IT and engineering development in Gyumri.The President visited the JITC Start-Up Club, research and Armtab labs, the room of program of clean innovative technologies, engineering and machinery labs, “Rostelecom” office, offices of D-Link and I-Works companies.
