A segment of the road of strategic importance connecting Armenia to Iran has been under reconstruction. It is the second month that the 2,5 km of segment passing through Karmraqar – Artsvanik – Syunik communities is renovated.
Passing the crumbled road full of pits was a kind of going through a challenge for the drivers. The road having been exploited since 1950’s has never undergone complete renovation. Under the heavily loaded trucks and rainwater the asphalt-concrete coverage was totally destroyed. And now active reconstruction in underway on a part of it.
The government allocated some half a million AMD for the road reconstruction. A water removal system is built.
