The church appeared totally renovated for the believers. The festive ceremony concluding the renovation work since the beginning of the year was headed by bishop Yezras Nersisyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhijevan.
The religious leader arrived in Saint - Petersburg right after having anointed the newly built church in Yakutsk. Here he hosted the acting governor Georgiy Poltavchenko to jointly offer up their prayer of gratitude for the first time after the renovation.
Addressing the people after the prayer Bishop Yezras Nersisyan noted that September 10, 2014 would make a historical day for the Armenian Church. He conveyed the patriarchal blessing by Karekin II Catholicos of All Armenians to Georgy Poltavchenko.
