Armenia’s Presidential Award for the global contribution to IT sphere for 2014 went to Mario Mazzola, Chief Development Officer at Cisco. This awards has been given since 2010. Among the four previous recipients were: the former Executive Director General of Intel Corporation, Chairman of the Board Craig R. Barrett, co-founder of the Apple Computer Corporation Steve Wozniak, Chairman Emeritus of Synaptics Company Federico Faggin and former CEO of Hitachi Company Tsugio Makimoto.
The man behind the idea of this awards, “Synopsis Armenia”’s CEO Hovik Musayelyan said Mario Mazzola would arrive in Yerevan on November 9. The official ceremony of awards will take place on November 11 at the President’s Residence.
