The Armenian National Football team started with defeat in European Championship 2016 Group I qualifier. In the guest match Armenians were down 1:2.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored in the 50th minute. In the 65th minute the hosts equalised the scoring record. The fight back was by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, midfielder for Bayern Munich as a result of set piece. In the 71st minute Henrikh Mkhitaryan was replaced by the team head coach Bernard Challandes. Marcos was brought to the field.
In midgame the Danes increased the pressure and went ahead in scoring. The Roman Berezovskiy protected goal was scored by Thomas Kahlenberg brought as a substitute.
It was the first official game with Bernard Challandes as the head coach of the team. The next match, within Euro – 2016 will take place in Yerevan on October 11. Armenia to receive the Serbian team.
