As of August 20, 2014, the famous American charitable organization ALS has raised over $31 million for the people who suffer from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The Ice Bucket Challenge movement that has spread through social media over last weeks was aimed to promote the awareness of that disease. Globally, 350000 people, among them nearly 100 Armenian citizens, suffer from ALS.
